How it works
Drop your PDF on the Pelican Drop Desk.
Pick a format (JPG or PNG) and a quality.
Click Run and download the zip of page images.
Use cases
Post a PDF page on social media
Most social apps don't accept PDFs. Convert to JPG and post the image.
Send a single page in chat
Pull page 5 out as an image and drop it into Slack or WhatsApp.
Generate thumbnails
Use the image set to make a contact sheet or table of contents.
Free account & email verification
Start working now. Create a free account and verify your email only when your PDF is ready to download. Verification keeps automated abuse off the site — it's the reason we can keep every tool free forever with no paid plan, no watermark, and no upgrade trap.
Your privacy
Your files are processed entirely in your browser — never uploaded to a PDF Pelican server. We only store anonymous analytics about which tools people use, never your file contents.
About this tool
Export every page of a PDF as a separate image. Useful when you need a thumbnail of each page, when sharing a single page in chat, or when posting on a system that only accepts images.
FAQ
What do I get back?
A zip file containing one image per PDF page, named page-001, page-002 and so on.
JPG or PNG — which should I pick?
JPG is smaller and best for scans and photos. PNG is lossless and better for diagrams, charts and text-heavy slides.
What quality should I choose?
Standard is right for most use. Print only matters if you'll re-print at full size; Screen is fine for sending in chat or email.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Each page is rendered to an image in your browser using pdf.js.
